I enjoy building furniture and wanted to extend the challenge to musical instruments. If the test for a chair is 'will it hold my weight while I sit?' the basic functionality for an instrument is much more difficult as many things factor into something being playable or not.

This project taught me a lot about where there is a margin for error (turns out it's quite a lot) and where you need to measure about 40 times, cut once. I enjoyed my first carbon fiber build as well as a tighter process of using digital and traditional manufacturing processes together.

I'm in the middle of rebuilding the neck at the moment and I'll be sure to post some final shots when it's all finished.
